Vacuum injection is the ideal way to make small production runs of prototypes in plastics.
ADVANCE uses a combination of cutting, 3-D printing and laser beam lithography for rapid fabrication of the master model used for vacuum injection.

Vacuum injection uses silicon rather than metal molds to make the reproductions.
Two-pack cured resin is cast in the silicon mold under vacuum conditions. This enables a very high level of precision and design intricacy.
There is a wide range of materials available including ABS grade, PP grade, POM grade, rubber grade, transparent, heat-resistant materials, etc.
Vacuum injection can also be used to add color or inserts and suchlike as required.

Vacuum injection with resin type is ideal for small quantities

Injection molding, where thermoplastic resin is injected into a metal mold under high temperature and pressure, is generally used when large quantities of synthetic resin are involved. Injection molding is less suitable for smaller prototype production runs, because of the time required to produce the metal molds and the cost of the high-temperature, high-pressure equipment. Vacuum injection uses a master mold to create molds from silicon, and is therefore more flexible for small production runs.

The silicon mold is inserted within a vacuum tank and the plastic used to make the product is poured in a depressurized environment. Normal atmospheric pressure is then restored, and the pressure differential forces the resin into all parts of the mold. The depressurized conditions in the initial stage eliminate air bubbles from the resin and ensure that the resin reaches all parts of the silicon mold, thereby ensuring an excellent quality reproduction. Vacuum injection molding is commonly used to make plastic prototypes.
